Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the DygDog security scanning platform, including all associated APIs, dashboards, and services. Please read these Terms carefully before using DygDog. By using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
Important: You may only scan domains and URLs you own or have explicit written permission to test. Scanning third-party systems without authorisation may be illegal under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 (UK), the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (US), and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions.
1. Acceptance of Terms
- By creating an account or using the DygDog security scanning platform (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
- These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (or the organisation on whose behalf you are acting) and DygDog.
- We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Use of the Service
- DygDog provides a passive, non-intrusive security scanning service for web applications and internet-facing infrastructure. Scans are performed using read-only HTTP requests and DNS lookups only — no exploit payloads are sent.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own lawful business purposes.
- You may only submit URLs and domains for which you have explicit authorisation to perform security testing. This includes domains you own, operate, or have been contracted to assess.
- You may not resell, sublicence, or redistribute access to the Service without our prior written consent.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys. Do not share your password or API keys with unauthorised parties.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it.
- You must promptly notify us at security@dyg.dog if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
- You must not create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits.
- Accounts found to be in breach of these Terms may be suspended or terminated without notice.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
- You must not use the Service to scan any target without explicit written authorisation from the target's owner or operator.
- You must not use the Service to scan critical national infrastructure, government systems, healthcare systems, or any target where unauthorised testing is illegal under applicable law.
- You must not attempt to weaponise, exploit, or use scan findings to attack or compromise systems you do not own or control.
- You must not use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attacks, fuzzing, brute-force attacks, or any form of active exploitation.
- You must not attempt to circumvent, reverse-engineer, or tamper with DygDog's own infrastructure, rate limits, or security controls.
- You must not use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.
- Violations of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant law enforcement authorities.
5. Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
- DygDog does not warrant that scan results are complete, accurate, or free from false positives or false negatives. Security scanning is inherently probabilistic and should not be relied upon as the sole security control.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DygDog shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- In no event shall DygDog's total aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid to DygDog in the twelve months preceding the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer in another jurisdiction where mandatory local laws apply.
